02 – Chun-Li
Chun-Li is the first female player character that appears in the series. She is smart, cultured and a strong symbol of femininity. She’s the one girl in the original Street Fighter II cast, so naturally she’s fast, not so great at taking a hit, wears a silly cute outfit, and jumps up and down giggling whenever she wins a match.
She appears in nearly every iteration of the Street Fighter series, and with a powerful arsenal of kicks and fireballs, and the ability to wall jump off the side of the screen, she makes for an agile opponent.
01 – Ryu
Ryu represents a generation of gamers; socially awkward, determined to be the best, constantly battling and forever thinking a headband looks good. He is a guy who goes out and fights other guys because he wants to get stronger and fight even stronger guys. Ryu might seem a little non-descript at first. Yet you can’t play street fighter online without running into a million Ryu and Ken players, and that’s because they’re perfectly designed – powerful and simple, with deadly combos and attacks to beat down any combatant daring to step up.
